A panel of 7,000 participants for an open and collaborative database<\/h4>\n

Italian Online Probability Panel, acronym: IOPP.<\/strong> This is the name chosen for one of the new services that the FOSSR Project offers for the analysis of topics relevant to the social and economic sciences.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A service that the researchers of the CNR-IRPPS<\/a>, which is in charge of the activities of WP4 (Improving longitudinal and panel data infrastructure in Italy<\/a>), in collaboration with the University of Milan Statale<\/a>, will soon make available, according to the principles of Open Science<\/strong>. A multi-purpose tool for the execution of high quality surveys on the population aged 18 and over residing in Italy<\/p>\n

The Italian Online Probability Panel is a longitudinal probability panel, composed of up to 7,000 participants, representative of the population resident in Italy aged between 18 and 74<\/strong>, who will be interviewed on a regular basis on a wide range of topics, such as lifestyles, behaviours, opinions, values, attitudes, family structure, housing condition, employment and economic situation, inequalities, social vulnerability, gender equality.<\/p>\n

IOPP is integrated within the FOSSR infrastructure \u00ad\u2013 through which data will be released in Open format and in accordance with FAIR principles<\/strong> \u2013 and aims to provide social research with representative, reliable, high-quality datasets with high scientific standards, offering the scientific community and stakeholders an open and collaborative database.<\/p>\n

Between 2024 and 2025 – and, once fully implemented, for the years to come – the panel recruitment phase is expected to take place, starting from 2025 – and, once fully implemented, for the years to come – the administration in five annual waves of the core questionnaire<\/strong>, which will be filled in by the respondents directly via app or website and may be supplemented by sets of additional modules<\/strong>, proposed by the social sciences scientific community, in order to deepen topics already addressed in the core questionnaire or to investigate further topics of interest.<\/p>\n
