What role does the FOSSR<\/strong> project play among the European Research Infrastructures in Social, Human and Heritage Science<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

This was discussed on January 22 and 23, 2025, during two in-depth days organized by the Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage (DSU) of the National Research Council (CNR)<\/strong> at the CNR headquarters in Rome.<\/p>\n

The two-day event was well attended by a large audience interested in the strategic role of these infrastructures and the range of expertise, resources, tools, data and advanced services they make available.<\/p>\n

It was also an opportunity to present the progress of the FOSSR Project, expounded by Giovanni Cerulli<\/strong>, and to illustrate the contributions of the infrastructures of which FOSSR coordinates the Italian nodes, through the speeches of Sonia Stefanizzi (CESSDA)<\/strong>, Antonio Zinilli (RISIS)<\/strong>, Guglielmo Weber (SHARE)<\/strong>, Letizia Mencarini (GGP)<\/strong> and Giulio Ecchia (GUIDE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers were economists Tito Boeri<\/strong>, former president of the National Institute of Social Security (INPS), and Patrizio Bianchi<\/strong>, former minister of Education, University and Research, whom we asked on the sidelines of the meeting for a joke about the role of research infrastructure in economic development and international competitiveness<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
