This tool uses advanced AI and language technologies to create these maps\u00a0<strong>automatically<\/strong>, at\u00a0<strong>scale<\/strong>, and in a way that can be\u00a0<strong>reused across different fields<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; from music and history to science.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The second paper<\/strong>\u00a0explores how we can\u00a0<strong>guide artificial intelligence to build ontologies<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; that is, logical structures that organize knowledge (like a smart vocabulary that explains concepts and their relationships).<br \/>\nThe team tested two prompting strategies &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Memoryless CQbyCQ<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Ontogenia<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; and showed that with the right guidance, large language models (LLMs), like the ones powering ChatGPT,\u00a0<strong>can produce high-quality ontologies<\/strong>, sometimes even better than those made by beginners.<\/p>\n<p>Both contributions highlight the value of\u00a0<strong>open and reusable software<\/strong>\u00a0in science (Open Science Software), and how\u00a0<strong>transparent and reproducible semantic technologies<\/strong>\u00a0can help speed up and democratize scientific research.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FOSSR Project at ESWC 2025 At the\u00a0Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2025)\u00a0held in\u00a0Portoroz, Slovenia,\u00a0Andrea Giovanni Nuzzolese\u00a0&#8211; leader of\u00a0Work Package 5 of the FOSSR project\u00a0&#8211; presented\u00a0two research papers, both supported by FOSSR.
