Research Infrastructures are today a key element in supporting innovation, fostering knowledge transfer and enabling data-driven decision-making processes. In this framework, FOSSR will bring its experience to FORUM PA 2026 by participating in the workshop “Research Infrastructures for the Country’s Innovation: Synergies, Sustainability and Collaboration Models”<\/em>, scheduled for 11 June 2026 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with the possibility of attending remotely.<\/p>\n The workshop will bring together representatives from some of Italy’s leading Research Infrastructures to discuss their contribution to the country’s development, long-term sustainability prospects, and opportunities for collaboration with public administrations, businesses and other actors within the innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n In this context, FOSSR represents a concrete example of a digital infrastructure serving research in the social and economic sciences.<\/p>\n Through an Open Science Cloud dedicated to the social sciences, FOSSR makes access to research data and resources simpler and more transparent, fostering the reuse of knowledge, the production of evidence to support public policies, and new opportunities for collaboration among research, institutions and society.<\/p>\n Representing FOSSR’s perspective will be Marco Sprocati, the project’s Infrastructure Manager, who will speak during the session dedicated to public-private synergies. His contribution will focus on the tools that enable Research Infrastructures to engage effectively with the public and private sectors, enhancing the value of data, services and expertise through structured and sustainable collaboration models.<\/p>\n This topic is particularly relevant for digital infrastructures such as FOSSR, which are called upon to transform the information assets generated by research into a concrete resource for innovation, policymaking and economic growth.
