FOSSR enhances human capital in Southern Italy for the first Italian Open Cloud in social sciences

FOSSR is committed to enhancing the human capital of Southern Italy, considered a crucial resource for achieving the goals of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

Through funding from PNRR and Next Generation EU, the project continues its efforts to expand its workforce through new hires. In particular, FOSSR is strengthening its competencies with aims to building the first Italian Open Cloud dedicated to research in the social sciences.

Among the professionals recently added to the team:

Lorenzo Anastasi, at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (CNR-ISTC) in Catania, will contribute to the Network of Data Centers (WP7).

Fabrizio Marangio, at the Institute for High Performance Computing and Networking (CNR-ICAR) in Naples, will be involved in WP6, which focuses on the Open Cloud as a single point of integration and access to services and technological resources.

Antonio De Lorenzo, at the Institute for Studies on the Mediterranean (CNR-ISMed) in Naples, will participate in WP8, dedicated to Capacity Building and Training.
