Recipients

Your personal data are processed by in-house staff who have been previously trained and designated as persons authorised to process them in support of the Data Protection Officer.

Purpose and legal basis of processing

The FOSSR website contains tools and information concerning the processing of personal data in the context of the activities carried out by the Project. Your personal data are processed for the sole purpose of ensuring the security and functionality of the site, therefore the processing is conducted in the legitimate interest of the data controller on the basis of the provisions of Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Types of data processed and processing methods

The personal data collected concern navigation data normally received by the HTTP service (such as IP address, operating system and any other data normally passed from the client to the server via the HTTP protocol). The data are received and stored via the so-called “logfiles” of the service.

Cookies are portions of code transmitted by the server to the client and which the latter uses in successive sessions of access to the site to identify itself. This Site uses technical cookies to identify user sessions and to carry out activities strictly necessary for its operation. There is no user profiling through third-party services. Users’ prior consent is not required for their installation, but it is sufficient to provide information, pursuant to Provision no. 231 of 10 June 2021 of the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data (OJ General Series no. 163 of 09-07-2021).

First-party technical identifiers are also used to produce aggregate statistics using the Entity’s own internal tools and in relation to an individual site, equated to “Cookies and other technical identifiers” as per Annex 1 to the provision “Guidelines for cookies and other tracking tools – 10 June 2021 [9677876]”.

It is possible at any time, via the functionality of the user’s browser (the client), to remove all cookies installed by the server.

Storage

Your data will be kept for the sole purpose of ensuring the security of the site for a period not exceeding the duration of the Project.

Transfer to third countries or international organisations

Personal data are in no way and for no reason communicated or disclosed to third parties or transferred to third countries or international organisations.

Rights of data subjects

With reference to the processing of personal data, the data subject has the right to

obtain the deletion or removal of their personal data;

lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority or take legal action pursuant to Articles 77 and 79 of the GDPR.

Given the nature of the data (logfiles only), it is not possible to request their update or correction.
