SHARE (Survey on Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe) is a comparative survey conducted in 28 countries since 2004. It is centrally coordinated by the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) and aims to collect data on the health, socioeconomic status, and social relationships of the population aged 50 and older.

Survey on Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE)
Objectives
The Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe – SHARE collects data on health, socio-economic status, social and family relationships needed for research on demographic aging to help researchers better understand the needs and living conditions of the over-50s and their families.
SHARE is the largest pan-European panel study in the social sciences, providing internationally comparable longitudinal microdata that provide insights into the public health and socioeconomic living conditions of European individuals. SHARE has a global impact, as it not only covers all EU member countries in a rigorously harmonized manner, but is also embedded in a network of sister studies around the world, from the Americas to East Asia.
