The first FOSSR Café was held on 7 May 2024, as part of the project’s initiative to promote informal yet regular exchanges among FOSSR staff members located across different Italian cities.
This inaugural meeting focused on introducing FOSSR’s young PhD students, whose research projects are supported by FOSSR and aligned with its development objectives.
Key themes that emerged during the discussion included creativity, flexibility, accessibility, curiosity, and training.
The PhD students shared personal stories inspired by symbolic objects representing them, followed by reflections on their expectations and contributions to the FOSSR community.
The event — which saw strong participation from staff and collaborators — marks the first in a series of biweekly online meetings, held every other Tuesday at 9:30 AM.
